Little River Trading Post Announces Remodeled Convenience Store

MANISTEE MI, December 6, 2019 – According to the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS), there are 153,237 convenience stores operating in the United States, as of December 31, 2018 and some exciting changes are happening at the Little River Trading Post, owned and operated by the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians and located at the corner of Hwy 31 and M-22.

The store’s interior is undergoing its first renovation since opening its doors in the summer of 2008.  Construction will take place throughout December 2019 and completed by the end of the year.

“We are excited to be a local business and look forward to giving back to the community. Updating the store allows us to better serve our guests with more choices.” Trading Post manager Tammy Bogue said in a statement.

The refresh includes a more inviting, modern, market-style look, with new flooring and paint colors, updated shelving, signage and displays, and a guest friendly cashier stand.

New offerings include fresh food choices such as produce and baked goods, grab-and-go hot food products, iced coffees, an expanded beer and wine section and liquor sales in future plans.

Details and dates of the reopening will be communicated to the public as available.  The 2,800 square foot Trading Post operates seven days a week and features eight fuel and four diesel pumps.
