Executive Order – Fifth Update to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response- Ordering Temporary Leave of Absence for Non-Essential Government Employees.pdf

On Monday April 13th, one of our officers was tested for COVID 19. The test came back with a positive result. For privacy concerns the officer will not be identified. The officer was already off of work for a week prior to the testing. The department had already put in place a schedule to mitigate the exposure time with other officers, along with strictly adhering to the guidelines from the CDC and local health department. The officers who worked the same shift have been quarantined for precautionary reasons. None of them have displayed any symptoms consistent with the virus.
For public peace of mind, those that may have been in contact with the officer have been notified. We will continue to monitor the situation. The Little River Department of Public Safety is committed to providing a safe community for citizens of LRBOI.

Memo: Relief Payments
Steve Wheeler
CFO LRBOI Accounting Department
The first relief payments for April are complete, the direct deposit files have been sent to the bank for payment effective 4/13/20.
The checks are dated 4/13/20, Checks will be mailed on Monday.

Lani and Angie of the accounting department, deserve all the credit, as they made 7,614 manual entries to the Per Cap data base to make the checks non-taxable and not accumulate with the taxable quarterly Per Cap payments. Quite a bit of work for them and an amazing undertaking to get this out correctly!
