Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the U.S. Census Bureau has made adjustments to their operational plan and schedule in order to protect the health and safety of the public and Census Bureau employees.
Please note that the deadline to respond to the 2020 Census has been extended to October 31, 2020. This means that you still have plenty of time to respond online, over the phone, or by written questionnaire.
Beginning on April 27, 2020, the U.S. Census Bureau is sending reminder notice postcards to households that have not yet responded to the 2020 Census. This postcard will provide you with with the information you need in order to respond. If you have not received this postcard by May 9, 2020, you can still respond in the following ways:
- Online: Go to 2020census.gov to access the online questionnaire. Access to the website is available 24 hours a day.
- By Phone: Please call 844-330-2020 (English) or 844-468-2020 (Spanish). Customer representatives are available from 7am to 2am Eastern time.
- By Mail: Paper questionnaires were mailed out beginning April 8. Please submit completed questionnaires as soon as you can, but they must be received by the Census Bureau by October 31, 2020.
