This program was initiated in 2005 to address concerns about ozone transports up the Lake Michigan shoreline, impacting Manistee County (acknowledged & documented by EPA & State of MI).
Currently, the air monitoring program monitors for Ozone, PM2.5, and Meteorological Data at a monitor located at the Justice Center Parcel.
The Air Quality program is funded by USEPA Clean Air Act 103 project funds.
