What is the Tribe and why does it exist?(Make your voice heard! Tell us in a Survey)To facilitate meaningful dialogue on important issues, Commerce is sending out surveys. Please share your thoughts and views on what the Band means to you. The survey results will be shared with elected leadership and tribal decision-makers. Today’s topics: What are your thoughts on what LRBOI means as a governing body and a community of people. The survey is only 7 questions. **Format and Rules**Using Zoom, and recording the event for viewing by those unable to make the meeting, Commerce will provide additional opportunities for open governance to tribal citizens. We require prior registration to access the meeting. This helps us know who is interested in what we have to say, provide deeper ways to engage the tribal community in program development or administration, and ensure that the attendees are part of our tribal community. Each Zoom meeting will have its own registration link, which is different from the Tribal Council. Your email address will also give us a way to remind you before we get started each time. Just to make clear that the purpose of holding these townhalls is to help us develop solutions as we build toward a common future. As such, certain behaviors will not be tolerated during this process. Tearing down individuals, calling other participants names, or addressing grievances against targeted persons in this forum will be addressed immediately, up to and including removal from the meeting. Respect is necessary for us to fix things; respect for the process does not mean you have to agree with everyone nor like the person making a point but listening to the idea is essential to meaningful dialogue. Your registration for a Conversations with Commerce townhall is acknowledgement that you accept and will abide by these rules. |
