The Biskaabiiyang Committee has been dissolved. Tribal Council is diligently working on legislation to transition the Committee to a Commission.
Information will be shared as it becomes available.
The Biskaabiiyang Committee is a vital component of our tribe's cultural preservation efforts. Their mission is clear: to maintain, foster, and promote our history, culture, teachings, traditions, and ceremonies as Anishinaabe people. The Biskaabiiyang Committee is dedicated to preserving, presenting, and creating cultural learning opportunities that connect us to our Anishinaabe traditions. From ancestral stories to contemporary arts, from cherished recipes to sacred ceremonies, the committee endeavors to ensure that our culture thrives and remains accessible to all citizens.
If you are passionate about preserving and promoting our rich cultural heritage and dedicated to ensuring that future generations have access to our traditions, stories, arts, and ceremonies, we invite you to join the Biskaabiiyang Committee!

The Biskaabiiyang Committee consists of three dedicated members. However, to fulfill our mission effectively, we need your participation. We are looking for two more elders and two more any age individuals to join us in the important endeavor! As a member of the Biskaabiiyang Committee, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage. Your knowledge, experience, and commitment are invaluable assets that will enrich our efforts.
