Little River Band of Ottawa Indians (Owner), a federally recognized Indian Tribe, is soliciting bid proposals from qualified firms for professional services
associated with the following Project: US31 Sewer Upgrades
The Biskaabiiyang Committee is a vital component of our tribe's cultural preservation efforts. Their mission is clear: to maintain, foster, and promote our history, culture, teachings, traditions, and ceremonies as Anishinaabe people. The Biskaabiiyang Committee is dedicated to preserving, presenting, and creating cultural learning opportunities that connect us to our Anishinaabe traditions.
PROMOTION OF GENERAL WELFARE
This payment is intended to promote the general welfare of our Indian tribe. The tribe recognizes that current economic conditions, and increased costs of living, have placed additional financial burdens on our tribal members. With the rising costs of food, housing, utilities, transportation, and cultural/ceremonial activities, our vulnerable communities are experiencing increased hardship and stress.
