Message about Humana Elder's Insurance

If you are an elder covered on the LRBOI group Medicare plan and have concerns regarding a recent letter you may have received from Trinity Health in Muskegon, MI, here is some clarification regarding the Humana plan coverage.

The coverage provided by LRBOI through Humana is a PPO (preferred provider organization) that allows our members to access care in or out of network, for any provider that participates and is in good standing with original Medicare. Regardless of contracts between Humana and Trinity, you may seek treatment through Trinity providers IF that provider participates with Medicare; that is, receives reimbursement from Medicare.
